Perisher Range is home to the lovely little Porcupine Track. A great start to your holiday in the Mountains as it is a gentle 5km return, offers a myriad of habitats on the way and interesting rocks to clamber around with spectacular views over the Thredbo Valley. Meandering across creek dribbled slopes, through snow gum woodland and into tall alpine herb fields on the ridge, you can witness a delightful garland of wildflowers even in late summer. I walked this track with my young boys 24th of January. Starting from the water supply dam, head South West and amble along the path.
